Rotondo Music Festival
Rotondo is a three day music festival in Senigallia, a port town on Italy's Adriatic coast. I was asked to describe the sensation of joy with a series of animations. After some reflection I created these illustrations based my personal experience visiting this town. "Riempi il tuo piatto con la follia di Senigallia" and "Passa tempo con i tuoi amici del vino" exemplify the sensation of happiness and beautiful caos that characterize Senigallia.
"Riempi il tuo piatto con la follia di Senigallia" or "Fill up your plate with the craziness of Senigallia."
"Passa tempo con i tuoi amici del vino" or "pass time with your wine friends."
The square size measuring 7.5 inches was specified by the architect to match his previous publications in height.
The grid chosen for the book considers the whole spread to accommodate the horizontal size of most drawings.
The images and drawings are not completely restricted by the grid but somewhat free as to break up the rigidity of the book.
Here is a concept for a small pop-up exhibition for the book launch party, to be hosted at a storefront in SoHo.
The hanging fabrics break up the squareness of the space and draw the viewer in to view the projects individually as well as in comparison to one another.
