Brazilian Melodies
Brazilian Melodies was a concert of Choro, a traditional style of Brazilian music from the turn of the century. The concert was hosted at the Shrine in Harlem. It was promoted with a print poster and an animated social campaign. The design takes cues from Brazilian symbols. Inspired by the colors and shapes of the Brazilian flag, it proposes a deconstructed version of these elements that balance on top of one another and sway to the music.

The poster was printed on colored green paper and therefore was limited in color to what was available.
The design takes the globe and trapezoid from the Brazilian flag and uses them as a fulcrum to balance the text..
The colors for the web were more lively and change in the animation to catch the eye and add to the energy.
The motion can be modified to match the tempo of the music used in the posts.
A slower sway was settled upon for its ease of legibility.
