Weaver, Nature's Architect
This temporary experience hosted at the Central Park Zoo is aimed at connecting people to nature and teaching about one of the most incredible species of birds. The weaver bird has many similarities to humans, especially with their social habits. Visitors are able to assist in the building nests with a simple passing gesture and able to learn about this craft from across the world where these birds thrive.

Three structures will be 'community weaved' with the leadership of different artists in residency from around the world. This project was done in partnership with Aian Rachel.

The square size measuring 7.5 inches was specified by the architect to match his previous publications in height.
The grid chosen for the book considers the whole spread to accommodate the horizontal size of most drawings.
The images and drawings are not completely restricted by the grid but somewhat free as to break up the rigidity of the book.
Here is a concept for a small pop-up exhibition for the book launch party, to be hosted at a storefront in SoHo.
The hanging fabrics break up the squareness of the space and draw the viewer in to view the projects individually as well as in comparison to one another.
